Delhi: Tulika Banerji (Vice President - Marketing at Umeti) says, Umeti produces AR/VR content, including augmented reality and virtual reality experiences. This immersive technology is highly practical and experiential. When students use a VR headset, they become fully engaged in their lessons. For instance, while learning about photosynthesis, students don't just watch a video; they experience the process firsthand. They can conduct assessments, test their knowledge, and review the material repeatedly until they fully understand it. This approach is not only enjoyable but also enhances long-term knowledge retention.

00:00Umeti produces AR, VR content, which is augmented reality and virtual reality content.
00:06And this kind of immersive technology is very practical, very experiential.
00:12So the moment a student wears a VR headset, they are immersed in the entire lesson.
00:17For example, if they're learning photosynthesis, in a normal video, they will be able to see
00:21photosynthesis.
00:22Whereas in virtual reality, they'll be able to experience how photosynthesis works.
00:28They can actually do assessments inside, they can test their knowledge, and they can
00:32watch it again and again until they have absorbed how it works.
00:36So basically, it's not only fun, it's very experiential, it's immersive, and it helps
00:41to retain that knowledge for a longer period of time.
00:45So that is how it is, and which is why students want to come back to it again and again, because
00:48they find it interesting.
00:51It's a two-sided, it's actually a 360 degree method of learning.
00:57You're looking at a concept, you're hearing it, you're immersed in it, so all your senses
01:02are absorbed while you're learning.
01:04And that is supposed to be the best method of learning.
01:07So in India, we are especially very happy that NEP has now proposed integration of technology
01:12in schools, and we are very excited to be a part of that vision.
01:17And we would want to establish VR labs all across the country, making education more
01:22affordable, more accessible, and more experiential for not only students, but also teachers.
