00:00After years of hiding in different places, a wanted man was arrested in Rizal in various cases in Albay.

00:07EJ Gomez has the breaking news.

00:13This 43-year-old man was not able to escape when he was cornered by Taytay Police

00:18in Yacal Street, San Miguel Compound, Barangay Muzon, Taytay

00:22because of a series of cases in Albay since 2013.

00:26According to the police, in 2013, the man was charged with murder, attempted murder, robbery, and carnapping.

00:34In April 2014, he was charged with qualified robbery.

00:37And in December 2023, the man was charged with forcible abduction with three counts of rape.

00:44The accused hid in different places for several years, according to the police.

00:48He first hid in Manila. Then, he used fake IDs and fake names.

00:56He used the name of his acquaintance.

01:00He went to Rizal, Taytay, around the year 2020.

01:07Albay Police informed Taytay Municipal Police Station about the possible hiding of the suspect

01:13when the information was confirmed that he was hiding in Taytay where the operation to arrest the accused took place.

01:19We found him in his house. He was lying on the floor.

01:24Maybe it was an element of surprise.

01:28He was surprised that we were already there and he was not caught.

01:32So he just went with us.

01:33The suspect was not allowed to stay in the Taytay Custodial Facility for several days before being transferred to Albay.
