Amazon and MrBeast are facing a major class action lawsuit over allegations of sexual harassment and mistreatment from contestants on their reality show, 'Beast Games'. The lawsuit accuses the production of fostering a toxic environment, where contestants were denied privacy, sporadically fed, and lacked access to hygiene products or medical care. Female participants claim they faced misogyny and sexism on set, with one contestant describing it as a hostile environment where women were treated with little respect. 'Beast Games', a multi-million dollar Amazon production, has been embroiled in controversy since filming began in July.

00:09Beast Games is a multi-million dollar reality TV show Amazon's Prime Video
00:14ordered from Mr. Beast. Production on the competition show started back in mid
00:19July. In this new class-action lawsuit, there are a number of claims made by
00:24contestants which read, during the Beast Games engagement, the on-set production
00:28staff maintained the strictest control over the contestants, denying them all
00:32privacy and access to the outside world. The contestants were fed sporadically
00:36and sparsely. They were not given adequate access to hygienic products or
00:41medical care. The lawsuit goes on to specifically call out the treatment of
00:45female contestants, claiming, quote, the Beast Games work environment
00:48systematically fostered a culture of misogyny and sexism where production
00:53staff did nothing. One female employee alleges in the lawsuit, I wanted to join
00:58because I was a fan of Mr. Beast and his videos made me smile during the
01:01COVID-19 pandemic. I expected to be challenged, but I didn't think I would
01:06be treated like nothing, less than nothing. And as one of the women, I can
01:10say it absolutely felt like a hostile environment for us. We honestly could not
01:15have been respected less as people, much less employees, if they tried.
