00:00more key matchup at least based on program brand in Madison,
00:07Wisconsin. Bright and early on Saturday, Alabama makes the trip
00:12up north to the great state of Wisconsin to take on the
00:15Badgers inside Camp Randall. The Crimson Tide sixteen and a
00:20half point road favorite in this matchup against the
00:23Badgers. Total stands at forty-nine and the tide rolls
00:28north. What do you like in this game? I think Alabama has a
00:33chance to roll in this and now the reason I bring that up is
00:35Tyler Van Dyke. No stranger to my television set used to be
00:38Tyler Van Dynes down for the University of Miami. Here's the
00:41issue Ben through two games. He's throwing for 406 yards,
00:44but the key indicator only one touchdown pass. You're not just
00:47going to line up and play smash mouth football gets an SEC
00:50opponent. You're going to have to open it up and for me early
00:53in his career, Tyler Van Dyke was very good like wow, maybe
00:56Miami found something what they found last year was falling
00:59off of a cliff because of how bad that quarterback play was
01:02he's now going to step up in competition and also the two
01:05wins for Wisconsin. Not all that impressive to me, Milbro and
01:08Alabama rolling and absolutely smashed Wisconsin on their home
01:14field. Listen, I want to like Wisconsin in this spot. I want
01:20to think that one of the best home atmospheres in college
01:23football camp Randall and the drum around boys will be
01:27having a good day on Saturday. I just don't see it based on
01:31what we have seen out of the Badgers this year so far in two
01:34games and last year in year number one under Luke Fickle.
01:38Wisconsin is going to against the spread this season favored
01:41by at least 18 and a half points and it's opener against
01:44Western Michigan and last week against FCS opponent opponent
01:48in South Dakota. Wisconsin has only scored 28 points at max
01:53throughout their two games this season last year, averaging
01:5623 and a half points per game in what was supposed to be the
01:59dairy raid and new offensive coordinator Phil Longo that
02:03made North Carolina one of the most dynamic offenses in all of
02:06college football. Last year, DRS averaging 23 and a half
02:10points per game stagnant on that side of the football. It
02:12was the first time in the last decade. The Badgers had
02:15averaged less than 24 points per game and often time in the
02:19last 10 seasons more than 30 points per game, but that was a
02:23pro style offense under Paul Chris where the big hog Molly's
02:27up front would dominate in the trenches. I thought it would
02:30take maybe a season to adapt to this much more high powered
02:34free flowing dairy raid offense under Phil Longo and I thought
02:38Tyler Van Dyke being the veteran would be the guy to guide Luke
02:42Fickle and the Badgers to a better season hasn't happened
02:46and then earlier this week, we heard from Phil Longo the
02:49offensive coordinator in Wisconsin. Somebody that
02:51follows me on Twitter big fan of Longo and what he does. He
02:54was asked about why the offense has been stale so far and he
02:58said something along the lines of I'm here to please coach
03:01Fickle not necessarily why his offensive scheme is working and
03:06Donnie when you look at this Wisconsin football program, the
03:09Badgers have had a winning record each and every year since
03:122001 when all was said and done. They have the third
03:16longest bowl game appearance streak in the country at 22
03:20straight years only behind Georgia who has 27 in Oklahoma
03:25who has 25, but the Badgers have not won double digit games
03:29since 2019. That used to be the standard in Madison has not been
03:34the case here. I think it's going to be very tough sledding
03:38for this Wisconsin team offensively to be able to even
03:42contain defensively what Jalen Milrow and the tide are going
03:45to present on Saturday inside Camp Randall.
