00:00here, our Finance Minister and of course our Secretary of State as well. I just want to make one point
00:06and I know we're not allowed to talk about it last weekend, but the problem wasn't created by the Secretary of State
00:13but he did play an enormous role in fixing the problem and I just want to put that on the record.
00:20This is a fantastic day for this city. The truth is for far too long the people of Derry have been asked to live
00:28on hope and you can't live on hope. You have to live on wages and jobs and economic development and opportunities
00:37and we've been starved of that for far too long. We've been held back, but no more. This I think can be a turning point
00:45for this city. What is in this deed is extremely significant. It will have an enormous impact on the people of this city
00:54and I'm delighted after many bumps in the road we have actually got to this point. I also want to thank John Kelby
01:01and all of the officers of the Council for the mammoth effort and I know the effort that they've put in to make this happen
01:08but it would be remiss of me as a representative of this city not to make the point to all of our esteemed colleagues here
01:16that we'd be back for more. We're not done actually, but this is bringing us hopefully to a point that we should have been at
01:23nine years ago, but there's a lot more work to be done and we're really looking forward to getting on with that work
01:28in cooperation and partnership with all the people in this state. Thank you.
