00:41including by giving them drugs, giving and threatening to take away financial support or housing,
00:47promising career opportunities, monitoring their whereabouts and even dictating physical appearance.
00:53Tuesday's charges follow raids on his homes in L.A. and Miami in March.
00:58The first suit was filed in November last year by singer Cassandra Ventura, known as Cassie,
01:03who accused him of abuse, violence and rape during their decade-long relationship.
01:08The case was settled in court a day later, but not before it opened a floodgate of other lawsuits,
01:13with allegations dating back to the early 90s.
01:16One filed by a woman in December alleges that he and others gang-raped her when she was only 17 years old.
01:22Once one of the most influential figures in hip-hop, Combs, who's also known as P. Diddy,
01:28is credited with making a star out of some of the biggest names in the genre,
01:32including Notorious B.I.G., Mary J. Blige and Usher.
