00:00Our female government employees who benefited from the first day of free ride on the MRT-3 and LRT-2.

00:09And you can still catch up because it's still until Friday.

00:14Let's take a look at the center of the news, Isaiah Mirafuertes.

00:21Every time Michael enters the office, who works in the Bureau of Internal Revenue,

00:26he's already good at riding the MRT.

00:29From North Avenue Station to Magallanes, he rides it.

00:34Every day, for one trip, he charges Php 28 per ride.

00:39It's still a big help to the income of government employees like me.

00:46Because of the free ride starting today, he can save Php 56 in return.

00:52And because it's three days, Michael can save Php 168.

00:58Starting today until Friday, September 20, the MRT-3 and LRT-2 have a free ride.

01:05It's a way to celebrate the anniversary of the Philippine Civil Service.

01:11In the MRT-3, government employees can ride for free for the whole day.

01:17To give more value to their service, being in the public service.

01:25According to GM Bongon, they've been doing this for years.

01:29And last year, more than Php 10,000 were able to get a free ride.

01:35It's expected to be more this year because government employees can ride for free for the whole day

01:42compared to last year.

01:45I think it's good because it's helpful and it shows that government employees really appreciate it.

01:52Every day, more than Php 420,000 passengers ride the MRT-3.

02:00While for the LRT-2, there's a free ride starting today until Friday at the same time.

02:07It started at 7 in the morning until 9 in the morning.

02:12And it will return at 5 in the afternoon until 7 in the evening.

02:17The reason for that is most of the government employees pass from 7 to 9, right?

02:22So that's our free ride. And it's the same when we go home.

02:27Earlier this morning, the LRT-2 had 1,700 free rides.

02:34Just a reminder that the government ID must be presented to avail the free ride.

02:41The third day of free rides for government employees is guaranteed to be a big expense.
