00:00The Panucalang Condo has passed the hearing for the next year to address the backlogs in the courts, especially in the regional trial courts.

00:15The hearing of the judges in the Panucalang Condo today was quick.
00:22In fact, it was submitted to the Committee on Finance less than two hours ago or it was already submitted to the plenary.
00:30The Panucalang budget for 2025 is P84.39 billion, which is higher than the budget for 2024 of P60.17 or P60.176 billion.
00:47Court Administrator Raul Villanueva explained that the budget will be used to improve infrastructure such as halls of justice and other courts in the country.
00:59This includes the creation of Sharia courts, which is part of the implementation of Sharia or Islamic law in the country.

01:09Senator JV Hercito asked if the fund is sufficient to address the backlogs in the courts, especially in the regional trial courts.
01:18Judges said that the Panucalang budget is sufficient because aside from the infrastructure, they will also use the fund for operational fees of RTC and lower courts.
01:30The magistrates thanked them because they did not have a hard time with the implementation of their Panucalang budget for 2025 to the Senate.
01:38Senator Grace Poe, the chairperson of the committee, thanked the magistrates for the importance of the process of passing the budget and the implementation of the hearing.
01:49Meanwhile, Aljon asked Senator Grace Poe about the hearing and when the results of the 2024 bar examinations will be released.
01:58This will be completed on September 15 and the examinations will be held on the 10,490th day.
02:04Justice Lopez, the 2024 bar chairperson, said that their target is to release the results in December because the oath-taking of the judges is scheduled for January 24, 2025.
