The new Toyota C-HR Plug-in Hybrid 220 features innovative technology that optimises hybrid system efficiency and delivers a truly electric, emission-free driving experience.

The Toyota C-HR Plug-in employs a combination of mechanical and software innovations to achieve an electric range that meets customer needs. If used exclusively in city or urban areas, it achieves an equivalent electric range of up to 100 km, depending on the vehicle specifications.

A new feature of the Toyota C-HR Plug-in Hybrid is the introduction of the new “geofencing” function, which enables the car to automatically switch between hybrid and pure electric driving modes to optimise energy efficiency. It is also able to identify and indicate those sections of the route where it is possible to recover more electrical energy when driving.

When following a route using the vehicle’s navigation system, which features connected features, it takes into account factors such as traffic conditions and road type, combining these with constant learning of the user’s usual routes and driving style. The vehicle automatically switches between hybrid and electric modes to optimise efficiency. If the destination requires passing through a low-emission zone, the geofencing system ensures sufficient charge to be able to drive fully electric.
