00:48The beach in Bagan Ajam nearby, usually popular in the evenings, was similarly bashed by strong
00:54waves.
00:55Unfortunately, no casualties were reported in the incidents.
00:59It is said tides rose up to 2.8 meters high at about 12 p.m.
01:05It is also expected that tides will reach up to three meters for the next two days.
01:10For safety, visitors are advised to refrain from visiting the jetties and coastal areas
01:15during high tides.
01:17Penang has been lashed by bad weather over the past three days, with trees uprooted in
01:22almost 200 areas, and flash floods reported in over 70 areas.
