00:12Sikh District Civil Defence Officer Lieutenant Haisul Aisha Mohammed Napia said the flash
00:18floods at about 10pm were likely triggered by four hours of heavy rain in the upper Sikh
00:23region.
00:24She told Burnama on Tuesday that the affected families from the three houses were safely
00:28relocated to a secure area.
00:31Lieutenant Haisul said several other villages also reported flash floods, including Kampung
00:37Bendangman in Jerai at upstream Sungai Cepir and Lubuk Tualang in upper Sungai Charok Tebal.
00:44Some families sought temporary shelter at the Kampung Lalang Surau, while three families
00:48moved to the Kampung Tanjung Balai Islam.
00:51The officer said fortunately, with flood waters receding, the victims were able to return
00:57home in the morning.
