00:00Let's get an update on the situation in Baguio, Jeneir, from Pag-asa Weather Specialist, Veronica Torres.
00:07Good evening, this is Veronica Torres.
00:11Good evening, Ms. Ma'am.
00:13Good evening to all of our viewers.
00:15Just a while ago, at 4 p.m., Jeneir was at 235 kilometers, Kanduran, northern Kanduran of Baguio City.
00:23It is carrying a strong wind of 55 kilometers per hour near the city center and Bugso, reaching 70 kilometers per hour.
00:32It is moving in the direction of Kanduran at a speed of 30 kilometers per hour.
00:37There is still a signal number 1 here in Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, and the western portion of Pangasinan.
00:46We expect that it is possible for Jeneir to leave the Philippine Area of Responsibility tonight or tomorrow morning.
00:55We still have a high-level gale warning in the western seaboard of Southern Luzon and the western and central seaboard of Visayas.
01:03Good evening, Ms. Torres.
01:05We may know the time later tonight until tomorrow morning here in Calacang, Manila.
01:13Yes, although in our latest weather forecast, we expect that it will be cloudy in Metro Manila and there will be heavy rains.
01:22However, by tomorrow, we may also experience heavy rains, moderate to heavy rains, which may reach 50 to 100 millimeters of rain.
01:34We are still seeing bad weather. Is it possible for this to enter the country or become a storm and enter the country or reach Jeneir?
01:46Currently, we are only monitoring two storms. This is Jeneir, which is inside the PAR, and the one outside with the international name of Cipulasan.
01:56We are not removing Cipulasan from our Philippine Area of Responsibility anytime soon.
02:03Although, they may reach Jeneir inside the PAR.
02:08However, since they are so far away from each other, they have almost no interaction, except in the southwest monsoon.
02:17Is it possible for this to be a strong storm, even if this new bad weather we are seeing is complete?
02:26Currently, we are still monitoring Cipulasan.
02:31Now, it is in the Tropical Storm category.
02:37Cipulasan is also in the TS category.
02:43We will see if it will become stronger.
02:46However, it is far away from our landmass and the chances of it becoming a landfall are very low.
02:50Alright. Thank you very much for your time.
02:53As a weather specialist, Veronica Torres, good night.
