00:00Let's find out the latest update on the storm Enteng that continues to bring rain
00:05to a large part of the country from Pag-asa Weather Specialist, Rhea Torres.
00:10Good evening, Ma'am Rhea.
00:13Good evening to you too.
00:14Good evening to our listeners.
00:16In the latest, we are watching the storm Enteng.
00:19It is still a part of the storm that is rising and it continues to be a severe tropical storm.
00:23At 4 p.m., it passed 165 kilometers west-northwest of Lawag City, Ilocos Norte.
00:30It continues to be strong.
00:32It reaches 95 kilometers per hour in the middle.
00:35And when it falls, it reaches 115 kilometers per hour.
00:39It moves west-northwestward at a speed of 10 kilometers per hour.
00:44Because of the continuous effect of the storm Enteng, the tropical cyclone
00:48wind signal No. 1 in Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, and the northern portion of La Union,
00:54as well as here in Abra.
00:56And we expect that the mentioned areas will still experience heavy winds
01:01brought by the storm Enteng.
01:03And when it comes to rain, moderate to heavy rains are still expected in Ilocos Region and Abra.
01:09Meanwhile, there is a strong effect of heavy winds.
01:12We still expect moderate to heavy rains
01:16in Zambales, Bataan, some parts of Calabar Zone, here in Metro Manila, as well as some parts of Limaropa.
01:24That's why our countrymen are being careful because of the possibility of flooding or landslides
01:29due to the rainfall of the storm Enteng, as well as the strong winds.
01:33In the condition of our ocean, we have a gale warning up in the north and east of the ocean
01:39of the northern zone.
01:40It is dangerous to cross.
01:41Especially for our countrymen who have small ocean vehicles.
01:45Based on our latest forecast, the storm Enteng will continue to move away from our Philippine landmass
01:52and will leave our Philippine area of responsibility tomorrow morning.
01:56That's all for the latest from the Weather Forecasting Center.
02:00Rhea Torres, good afternoon to all of you.
02:03Ma'am Rhea, I have a question.
02:05Yes, ma'am.
02:06In Calacan, Manila, or in NCR, the expected rainfall amount,
02:11is there a comparison of the same amount last night, yesterday, and the other day, on Monday?
02:19For now, the data that we are looking for is not yet complete.
02:23Especially when it comes to the rainfall amount.
02:25Usually, when we accumulate 24-hour rainfall, we wait until 8 o'clock the next day.
02:34So, we are just comparing the rainfall that we experienced the last few days.
02:40But usually, based on our latest data, the heavy rainfall is mostly experienced
02:46when it comes to the early morning or late evening.
02:50So, that's the usual case where the rainfall suddenly increases.
02:55Yesterday, it was mentioned that another bad weather is being monitored.
03:01When is it possible for this to enter the country?
03:04So, based on our observations, currently, we are monitoring it.
03:08Although, it is not yet a low-pressure area.
03:10As of the moment, it is still a cloud cluster.
03:12So, there is still a possibility that our scenarios will change in the next few days.
03:17So, most likely, by next week, we will have an update on the weather that is being monitored.
03:23And when is it expected that the weather will be good, or that the sun will really shine?
03:29Based on our observations, a large portion of the country,
03:33most likely, by the weekend or the upcoming Saturday, will have improving weather conditions.
03:40Thank you very much, Weather Specialist Rhea Torres.
