00:00It's not necessary.
00:02Nobody needs to panic.
00:03But people can be upset and frustrated with what they saw.
00:05I am.
00:07But I also keep it in the back of my mind, they're a really good football team.
00:10Yeah, it's kind of expected though, right?
00:11It's kind of expected that at some point during the year, you're going to get frustrated.
00:15Yes, they're going to lose football games.
00:17This was one.
00:18I didn't expect them to lose given with the injuries that Tampa was dealing with.
00:22I didn't expect the Lions were going to struggle offensively to get the ball in the end zone
00:26when they're playing without Winfield and Kansi and some other players in the defense.
00:32I just didn't think that was going to be possible.
00:35But it happened.
00:36They struggled mightily in the red zone.
00:40And it's not panic, but it's a concern.
00:43Because it's two weeks in a row that we haven't really seen Sam Laporte to be a big part of
00:47this offense.
00:49And he was a huge part of this offense last year.
00:53It's just as simple as, hey, man, they took him out.
00:56Their game plan was great.
00:58And they took him away from what we wanted to do.
01:00We had to look elsewhere.
01:01Or is it something else?
01:03Is it, you know, Sam is still recovering from training camp injuries and being banged up
01:10there that we got him out of the field because he's Sam Laporte.
01:13But really, he's just being used as a decoy.
01:17I don't know.
01:18I don't have any long term concerns with this team.
01:21I'm really, really disappointed they lost.
01:23I'm not even mad.
01:24I'm just extremely disappointed in how they played from Campbell, Ben Johnson, Jared Goff.
01:28The Laporte thing, Gator, I think is a Jared Goff issue as far as...
01:32I don't have long term concerns.
01:34But I think the first two weeks we haven't seen Laporte because Jared Goff hasn't been
01:37that good the first two weeks.
01:38And there were times yesterday Laporte was open.
01:41But he wasn't the first read or Goff didn't look to him or whatever.
01:44And I'm sure other teams are more focused on Laporte as well.
01:46I think it's a combination of the two.
01:48Long term, I think for the season, it will be fine.
01:51But Goff hasn't been the greatest the first two weeks and that's hurting, I think, Laporte's
01:55numbers right now.
01:56No, he has not been up to his standards or for any of our standards in the first two
02:01weeks.
02:02And there were times he looked brilliant yesterday.
02:06That 50 yard pass to Jameson Williams early in the game was absolutely spot on perfect.
02:13Passes he made late in the game to the sidelines, both to Kennedy and...
02:17Well, not to Kennedy, but to Patrick and to Jameson Williams on both sidelines were perfect
02:22passes that the receivers just didn't toe tap and stay inbounds.
02:25I don't know if I'd agree with that.
02:27They were both, especially the one to Jamo, I think he had to go high to get it and couldn't
02:31get his feet inbound.
02:33I thought it was really well thrown football.
02:35And on that second to last drive, I mean, they start off with a lot of completions to
02:40a lot of different receivers.
02:42And then but then they get inside the red zone and it's stalled.
02:46Negative plays are a problem.
