00:00High pressure is dominating the weather across the UK this week.
00:03What does that mean?
00:04That means largely dry and sunny conditions and temperatures will be on their way up,
00:09up into the mid-twenties by the middle of the week for some spots.
00:12But until then, Tuesday morning starts off rather chilly,
00:15with areas of mist and fog particularly around the east of Wales,
00:18the Midlands, over towards the north-east of England.
00:20Rather cloudy with patchy light rain and drizzle as well across the north-west of Scotland.
00:24But going into the afternoon, the mist and fog should clear
00:27and there will be plenty of sunshine across the UK,
00:30feeling pleasantly warm in the strong September sunshine too,
00:33and the light winds, especially across southern and south-western areas.
00:37Eastern coastal counties will be somewhat cooler near the brunt of the easterly winds,
00:41and the northern and western isles of Scotland will stay quite cloudy and cool.
00:45Going into Tuesday night, and there will be the return of mist and fog,
00:48especially across Scotland, Northern Ireland and Northern England,
00:51as well as low clouds rolling in off the North Sea across much of England,
00:55and it will be a chilly night.
00:56But through Wednesday morning, a lot of that clears away,
00:59and we'll see lots of sunshine by Wednesday afternoon once again.
01:02And again, it will be another warm day, especially across parts of the south.
