00:00I am here in Southport, North Carolina where we have a flash flood emergency and now a
00:06tornado warning is in effect for this area and you can see behind me cars are stuck in
00:11the floodwaters here.
00:13Every little low water crossing that I've come across is flooded out right now with
00:17bad flooding all across the coast from Carolina Beach down through here, Bad Head Island,
00:22Southport as well as Oak Island and the rain continues to fall here and by the truckloads
00:28just absolutely dumping and pounding the North Carolina coast as this potential tropical
00:33cyclone makes its way here into North Carolina and you can also see besides the rain and
00:38the flooding, significant lightning bolts.
00:40We are getting hammered with lots of lightning bolts, multiple lightning bolts every minute
00:46firing off left and right here on the North Carolina Beach.
00:49This is a significant storm with significant impact here in North Carolina.
00:53As you can see, cars are continuing to try and drive around in these floodwaters but
00:58it is best to stay indoors and if you come across floodwaters to turn around so that
01:03you don't get stalled out like these vehicles back behind me.
