According to new research by personal injury claims experts Claims.co.uk, the most stressful jobs in the UK have been revealed. Police officers, social workers and community nurses have been ranked among the most stressful professions, with the job roles reportedly taking a toll on mental health.

00:20It was also found that some of the top contributors to negative mental health caused by workplace
00:25stress included working hours, workplace cults and commuting. In fact, nearly half
00:31of employees in non-management positions went on to say they felt stressed about finances.
00:39The Workers' Union said, quote, as the conversation around mental health in the workplace continues
00:45to grow, studies like this emphasise the importance of addressing the unique challenges faced
00:51by employees in high-stress professions. With the ongoing focus on employee well-being,
00:57it is crucial for employers to implement strategies that protect mental health and ensure a balanced
01:03work environment.
01:04Well indeed, it's been reported that people who appear to be the most likely to be affected
01:12by work-related stress are employees in their mid-40s to mid-50s. But it seems that some
01:18of the least stressful jobs, according to research by Claims.co.uk, included the roles
01:24of bookkeepers and payroll managers. It's thought that roles that are less public-facing
01:30and which have a lower stake tend to help contribute to a healthier work-life balance.
01:36Now a spokesperson for Claims.co.uk said that employers should, as a result, encourage employees
01:42in stressful roles to take regular breaks, offer mental health services, and promote
01:49open communication to employees to manage their mental health more effectively.
