00:00The Federation of Italian Medical-Scientific Societies, FISM, has organized the convention
00:10dedicated to the evolution of health in the context of digital transformation and artificial
00:16intelligence in the framework of the Cosimo Piccinno Auditorium of the Ministry of Health,
00:22present at the event experts from institutions, scientific societies, technological partners
00:28and associations of patients to explore how new technologies are changing the way
00:33in which the care of patients is addressed, with a focus on digital health, connected
00:38and supported by artificial intelligence, and to talk about skills.
00:43We have a need to alphabetize both health professionals and patients, because we live
00:52in a revolutionary era in medicine, the electronic health sector starts, it will be necessary to
00:59fill it with contents, and to be able to fill it with contents it is necessary to develop
01:04skills, the so-called digital skills, the soft skills, we are now projected towards
01:12artificial intelligence algorithms, we must be good at managing them and setting them.
01:20The second stage of the path that will lead at the end of the year to the FISM General States
01:25to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Constitution of the Federation has planned three sessions
01:30of discussion.
01:31The first session is the one that concerns all aspects, let's say, organizational and
01:39management of telemedicine and its branches, such as, for example, radiology, telecommunications.
01:49The second session is about the relationship between health and the patient, how this digital medicine
01:59can change the approach, also with the patient, and can improve the cures, and can improve
02:06the health organization.
02:08And the last session is the one dedicated to artificial intelligence.
02:12It is important to provide new professions in the medical and social health field, capable
02:17of correctly using digital instrumentation, as well as understanding what skills the doctor
02:23must acquire to be more and more suitable for the world of artificial intelligence.
02:27The medical profession is still a profession for the most part that is based on the individual
02:32experience, so that it has a very strong component of the individual professionalism.
02:37Here, artificial intelligence will help us to make all this path so articulated much
02:45more, in some way, uniform, so that if we are on the Alps or we are at sea, we can
02:54receive the same level of diagnosis and therapy quality.
02:59We are moving in this direction.
03:01According to the institutions, digitization can improve the national health service.
03:07It can make health a more fluid good for everyone, regardless of where citizens live.
03:15So it is an instrument, in my opinion, to have greater equity in the cures.
03:19We believe in this, we are investing a lot in this, and I am sure that we will have positive
03:24results for the health of everyone.
