00:00Hi, I'm Jean Duplessis, the General Manager and Vigneron for Ankyl Estates.
00:07We are out in Monmouth in Wales, it's the south-western part of Wales,
00:11and established like mid-2000s.
00:16And we plant to Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, some hybrids like Samaras,
00:23Ortegan, and we're also quite unique for the UK as Albariño as well.
00:28And we make a wide range of wines, it's all harvest-dependent,
00:33from sparklings all the way to dry reds and orange wine.
00:37So we are in our Pinot Noir vineyard at Ankyl,
00:42and we are biodynamically certified with Demeter,
00:47so that's our farming philosophy and beliefs of getting there.
00:53And farming like that, it's all about from your soil all the way to your wine,
01:01and looking at the entire property as well, so your boundary, so everything's considered.
01:08We grow our own plants to make our own tessanes with,
01:14so it's really just like teas that we spray on the vineyard.
01:17And it's all to strengthen the vines to defend themselves against disease.
01:23So instead of fighting the disease, we equip the vines to defend for themselves.
