00:34as filing a first information report, which led to the destruction of vital evidence.
00:41The case has triggered weeks of nationwide protests in the country.
00:59Ghosh resigned from his post at the college days after the incident became public.
01:14The arrests come after the appearance of the prime suspect and former police volunteer
01:18Sanjay Roy in court for the rape-murder of the 31-year-old victim who was found dead
01:24at her workplace last month.
01:26Authorities have also arrested two hospital supply vendors and a close aide of Ghosh.
01:32Despite tougher laws since the 2012 Delhi gang rape, activists say the Kolkata incident
01:38showed that the fight against sexual violence in India is still far from over.
