Uncle Roger sets Guinness World Record with most lookalikes in iconic orange polo
Malaysian comedian and YouTube star Nigel Ng achieved a new Guinness World Record on Saturday, September 14, for the largest assembly of people dressed as his iconic character, Uncle Roger.
The event, held outside a shopping mall in Kuala Lumpur, saw 388 people successfully counted as donning Uncle Roger's trademark orange polo shirt and black pants.
The jubilant crowd celebrated by chanting "Fuiyoh!"—a signature catchphrase of Ng's viral online character who comedically critiques food related content and world-renowned chefs such as Gordon Ramsay.

00:00As old as we can, thank you so much you guys.
00:02Let's cheer them on everybody!
00:16Today we did the Guinness World Record attempt for the largest gathering of people dressed up as Uncle Roger.
00:22And we did it because I felt this would be a cool YouTube video idea
00:26and it would be a fun way to announce the restaurant.
00:29As opposed to just announcing it, we do this kind of large scale challenge.
00:33It felt great to get the record.
00:35It's so hard to get so many people to dress up and get it into one room.
00:41So we were a bit nervous in the beginning.
00:43Are people going to show up? Will we have enough people?
00:46Will they show up with the right outfit?
00:47You know, the belt phone case, very important.
00:49But everybody came, they showed up.
00:51I support Uncle Roger because he's Malaysian.
00:54And he's a very popular YouTuber.
00:56So I came here to support his Guinness World Record official attempt.
01:01Okay, I dressed up like Uncle Roger just to support the whole event.
01:04And I think he really made Malaysians proud.
01:06Malaysian accent, Malaysian slang, the whole thing.
01:09So I just want to support him and support Fried Rice!
