04:24But this was a whole nother ballgame after his father was killed under Captain Picard's command
04:30Wesley Crusher came on to the Enterprise D along with his mother
04:33Although Picard was initially resistant to him Wesley soon proved his intelligence and eventually became acting ensign
04:40Wesley's fast rise in the rank was all the more baffling considering he flunked the Starfleet Academy entrance exam
04:47I know you're trying to be helpful, sir
04:49But it seems like that's all I've talked about for the last two days and I don't want to go through it again
04:53But what really got under fans skin were his lies to Picard of all people as well as his penchant to save the
04:59Entire ship with a deus ex machina's despite his inexperience. There really is no perfume more offensive than oh de mary sue

05:15It's certainly not a bad thing for a TV show to inject some realism into its storylines
05:20But sometimes it feels like there's such a thing as too much reality
05:23Dana Brody is the angsty daughter of Nicholas Brody a u.s. Marine sergeant and prisoner of war held by al-qaeda
05:30We're not gonna be able to do this right now, okay

05:36Because she said so it's really complicated Dana
05:39No, actually, it's really obvious if you're wondering why her character even exists in this espionage thriller
05:45You're not alone when her father returns Dana's teen angst takes center stage
05:50She butts heads with her mother and struggles to understand her father. No dad

06:00It's a realistic portrayal of a teen girl, but something about it feels annoyingly out of place in this show about terrorism

06:25Jack Bowers is another one that audiences never really latched on to sure
06:30There are other characters on 24 that viewers loved to hate but Kim Bauer was in a league of her own

06:47Right from the start Kim was a magnet for trouble from getting kidnapped by terrorists to being infected with a virus
06:54Her role is the damsel in distress only spirals downwards as she makes illogical decisions that get her into more trouble than out

07:10Kim's resentment of her father for her mother's death while realistic only came off as whiny
07:15It certainly didn't help that the writers kept getting her into life-threatening
07:19Situations often with her priorities focused more on her boyfriends than said situations. I'm the one that should apologize
07:26I pushed you away and instead of taking responsibility for all the mistakes I made in my life. I blamed you
07:32And it was stupid
07:35Number four Ted Mosby how I met your mother
07:38Irritating side characters are one thing
07:41Unlikable protagonists. Well, that's a sign that your show is on the rocks in this CBS sitcom
07:46Ted Mosby tells the tale of how he met his children's mother a heartwarming premise except Ted's nice guy antics ruin it

08:40And you've been sitting here all night staring at a single ticket to robots versus wrestlers because the rest of us couldn't come out

08:51Number three Andrea the Walking Dead
08:54Some characters start off strong and then go off the deep end from civil rights attorney to hardened warrior
09:00Andrea is the group's sharpshooter almost undoing herself in grief after being forced to kill her infected sister Andrea
09:12Things don't get better for her after that
09:14Andrea forms a relationship with the governor who turns out to be villainous and shoots Daryl nearly killing him

09:28Even worse she fails to kill the governor and is instead bitten by an infected Milton all of this plus the departure of her
09:35Comic book character made fans furious. What a sad ending for someone who started with so much promise

09:48Number two Dawson Leary Dawson's Creek another unlikable protagonist is this show's namesake?
09:54Dawson's Creek was among the most popular teen centered shows on the WB
09:59But its protagonist left a lot to be desired while we're dragged through the highs and lows of his romantic life
10:05Dawson's sensitive aspiring filmmaker persona is constantly undermined by his sense of entitlement
10:10Somebody who doesn't blow into town with their dysfunctional past to play mind games with the boy next door somebody who is capable of a healthy

10:22His treatment of Jen was deplorable and he is insensitive to his longtime friend Joey and her needs
10:28Dawson also treats his other friend Pacey badly. Let's not forget who pushed me towards Joey Potter in the first place. It was you

10:38I still had feelings for I still loved her when Joey finally chooses Pacey over him Dawson's jealous behavior borders on cruel
10:46Self-absorbed entitled and hypocritical his nice guy characterization is a hard pill to swallow
