00:00Police at Virginia State in the United States of America, USA have confirmed that two persons
00:06died and three others are in the hospital with sustained injuries after a gunman engaged in
00:11mass shooting in the state. Two people were killed and three others were injured in the
00:17mass shooting that occurred in the downtown Suffolk, Virginia, according to local media.
00:23The five victims were shot near downtown Suffolk at around 11.25 p.m. in the 800 block of East
00:30Washington Street, outside the HM White Bus Service garage. According to a news release
00:36from local police, officers found multiple people with gun wounds when they arrived on the scene,
00:43Mail Online reported. We gathered that police officers discovered multiple victims with gunshot
00:49wounds upon arriving at the scene. One adult male was pronounced dead at the location,
00:55while another dies in the hospital from his injuries. The three other victims are currently
01:01receiving treatment, Mail Online reports. Gun violence has been a recurring issue in the U.S.,
01:08also highly reported cases in Virginia State even recent weeks. Earlier in September,
01:15Georgia state officials arrested 14-year-old Colt Gray over a school shooting which resulted
01:21in the deaths of four individuals and injuries to nine others. Colt Gray was charged with four
01:27counts of felony murder. Meanwhile, an 11-year-old boy who alerted his principal at St. John the
01:34Apostle School in Virginia Beach after another student brought a bullet to class is in trouble
01:39at the school. His family said he is being punished for speaking up and doing the right
01:45thing, and they are upset because the reporting student received the same suspension as the
01:50student who had the bullet. The family also thinks the adults involved at St. John the Apostle School
01:57in Virginia Beach need to have, in their words, an ounce of grace dealing with an 11-year-old
02:03child who was only trying to do the right thing. The family of an 11-year-old boy said he was
02:09suspended from the school because administrators thought he waited too long to report that another
02:15student brought a bullet to class. An attorney for the family accused St. John the Apostle
02:20Catholic School of punishing the sixth grader when he was only trying to do the right thing.
02:26They are like, thank you so much for reporting, now you're suspended. And it's like,
02:33I did the right thing and now I'm in trouble, attorney Tim Anderson said in a phone call Friday.
02:40They are ruining this kid's academic career by putting a suspension on his middle school record.
02:46The incident happened last week as the boy's class was preparing to take a standardized test.
02:52Anderson said a student pulled out a bullet and showed it to the 11-year-old right before the
02:58test started. The boy was shocked but didn't tell the school principal until about two hours later,
03:06Anderson said. They took the standardized test. It took about an hour and a half. He then went to
03:13another class with the student and as soon as that was over he went to the principal's office
03:19and told the principal that this other kid brought a bullet to school, the attorney explained. It
03:25would be recalled that in November 2022, Walmart's manager entered a break room at a Walmart super
03:32center in Chesapeake, Virginia and opened fire on fellow employees before turning the gun on
03:37himself in the mass shooting that left over seven persons dead in the state.
