A plumber built an Alexa-controlled water gun to stop pesky squirrels from raiding his bird feeder - but now "they treat it like a shower".
Andy Turner, 47, has spent the past year trying to stop the crafty critters from stealing bird seeds in his Walton-on-Thames garden in Surrey.
Using his plumbing background, he devised a remote-controlled water gun system.
It features a garden pump bottle connected to an electric solenoid switch and is controlled by Amazon's Alexa.
With a simple voice command – "Alexa, there's a squirrel!" – the system unleashes a stream of water to shoo away the animals.
