00:01Today we're doing a movie summary for you from 2017 called Get Out.

00:07Rose comes to her boyfriend Chris' apartment, who's a photographer by the way.
00:10They're getting ready to visit her family over the weekend,
00:13and he's worried that her family doesn't know that she's hanging out with an Afro-American.
00:16She assures him that her family might say some stupid things,
00:19but that they're incredibly progressive when it comes to other things.
00:22She says that if it wasn't for her dad, he could've voted for Obama for the third time to be a priest.
00:25Chris asks if he's the only gay man she's hung out with,
00:29and she says that he is, but that she's full of self-confidence that her parents will accept him.
00:33On the way to her parents' house, Chris asks for a cigarette in the car,
00:36but Rose takes it from him and throws it through the window,
00:38and explains how her parents wouldn't want her to hang out with a person who consumes cigarettes.
00:42Chris calls his friend Rod, who's a DSA agent at a local airport,
00:46and reminds him to take care of his dog.
00:48Rod doesn't like that he's hanging out with a woman of another race,
00:51and he criticizes him for going to her family and saying that it's a bad idea.
00:54Also, he flirts with Rose a little, and she's happy that it makes Chris love her.
00:58While they're talking at the bazaar, Ellen jumps out of the car in front of them, and they hit him.
01:03She decides to stop and see what's going on, and calls the police, who asks them what they're doing in this area.
