00:00Hello everyone. I'm Hannah McElveen from Unison and it's great to see you all here this evening
00:22as we come together in solidarity and remembrance to honour a remarkable woman, Anya, who arrived
00:29in Ireland just over 18 months ago with high hopes of a new life and better prospects for
00:35her and her family. It says a lot about Anya's character when she bravely went to the aid
00:41of a person being attacked by a gang who had previously attacked her. Anya paid a high
00:46price for her bravery and we stand together this evening with her family, her friends
00:53and the people of Newry to offer our sincere and heartfelt condolences to all those who
00:58left Anya. We honour her memory and pledge that we will continue to fight against racism
01:05in our communities and will send a clear message that all are welcome here. Rest in peace Anya.
