Bruno Rodriguez: the blockade has caused unimaginable damage to any country

Cuba's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, denounced on Thursday the aggravated effect of the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed on the country by the United States, which from March 1, 2023 to February 29, 2024 caused material damages estimated at 5,056.8 million dollars. teleSUR

00:00Today, I'm going to show you on March 1st, 2023 till February 2024, the blockade cost
00:12damages and material damages at about 5.6 billion dollars, that is to say over 5 billion
00:27dollars, which means an increase of 200 million dollars regarding the previous period with
00:42a real impact on our economy.
00:48This means an impact of 421 million dollars per month, every 30 days are collected damages
01:03of over 400 million dollars, so you can imagine it's aftermaths.
01:10Daily, it has a cost of 14 million dollars, every 24 hours, it implies 14 million dollars,
01:23over half a million dollars per hour. At current prices, the damages collected
01:37rise up to hundreds of 164 million dollars, compared to this figure with the GDP,
01:54Cuban GDP or with our imports and exports or with the amount of direct investments in Cuba.
02:04But if we count up that impact to the value of the international market and the
02:15decline of the dollar, the damages accumulated in these six decades reached the figure of
02:241.4 billion dollars,
02:36a million of millions of dollars plus 460 dollars, so it is practically
02:46a million and a half of millions of dollars.
