The Prince of Wales told new Royal Air Force officers that the UK will be relying on them to deal with “future threats" during the present "time of change and uncertainty". William spoke during the graduation ceremony for over 50 officers who have completed their training at RAF College Cranwell. During the ceremony the prince handed out awards and watched a display of marching before talking to graduates inside. Report by Blairm. 00:18Ladies and gentlemen, would you please be seated.
01:53So I know something about the celebrations that will come later.
02:03We live in a time of change and uncertainty.
02:06And you, as the future of the Royal Air Force, are the ones who ensure that we are able to adapt and face future threats.
02:14I'm delighted that there's a parade today including graduates of the commissioned war officers course,
02:19men and women who have risen to the highest non-commissioned ranks and have kept rising.
02:26We also have initial officer trainees who I know will be eager to get out on an officer for the first time.
02:32But whatever your experience, this parade marks the culmination of many months of hard work and determination,
02:39operating globally at the extremes of home support.
