00:00It is definitely affecting their attitudes towards women because they are being exposed
00:26to acts of violence within the pornography that they are viewing with respect to strangulation,
00:34consent, non-consent role play.
00:37We have a lot of victims come forward and disclose sexual violence to us and quite often
00:44the people coming forward were shown a video of violent pornography by their partner and
00:51it was a suggestion that they should perform something similar.
00:56And when they didn't consent to that, their sexual partner went forward and still did
01:00it anyway even though they had not consented.
01:03We need to have better policy and regulation about access to pornography, the types of
01:10pornography that are available for consumption.
01:14We also need to increase our sexual health education both in schools and in the community
01:21because there's a large proportion of young people who now aren't in school and don't
01:24have access to that information.
01:27So I feel like it needs to be a campaign base and I think that we need to increase our porn
01:33literacy in particular.
