00:00A man who pretended to be a customer in a store in Quezon City was caught stealing.

00:05He stole the cell phone of a vendor.

00:07This is the story of James Agustin.

00:12A man who was caught on CCTV in Barangay E Rodriguez Sr., Quezon City got out of his motorcycle and entered the store.

00:22His companion was left outside.

00:25He talked to the men who were selling.

00:29He looked outside several times.

00:32After a few seconds, the man suddenly took something out of his pocket.

00:36He put it in the pocket of his pants.

00:39And later, he left.

00:42The vendor said that he only discovered the theft when he was about to use his cell phone.

00:47The man pretended to be a customer who was buying canned goods and bottled water.

00:52He asked me how much the mineral was.

00:55I told him that there was a bigger one.

00:58He said that he didn't want the bigger one.

01:00I gave him my back and that's when he took my cell phone.

01:06He asked me if there was a bigger one.

01:08I told him that there wasn't.

01:10I returned it to him.

01:12When I looked at him, he hurriedly left.

01:17It's only been three days since the incident happened.

01:20He didn't expect to steal a cell phone worth more than P8,000.

01:26It's important because my uncle gave it to me when he died.

01:32I spent a lot of money on it.

01:35It's been a few years.

01:38The victim reported to the barangay.

01:40According to the initial investigation, they are not residents of Salarit.

01:44The residents are asking for more surveillance in order to avoid this crime.

01:48It's possible that they just passed by our barangay.

01:53The residents of Salarit visit the barangay three times a night.

01:59It's possible that when they passed by, the residents didn't act.
