00:00A police officer was arrested after he fired a gun at the Ermita Manila.

00:05Another one was arrested after the police were stopped.

00:08Let's go to the news of Jomar Apresto.

00:20A man tried to hide a gun he used to fire at the Ermita Manila

00:29on Tuesday night.

00:31The suspect is Sarawawol, or absent without official leave,

00:35a former member of the PNP Special Action Force.

00:39He now works as a caretaker of a property.

00:43According to the police, the people of the barangay

00:46would go around hearing gunshots.

00:48There's a concerted set here.

00:50I taught him where the gunshots came from.

00:53And when they went to the location,

00:55they saw an individual holding a gun and firing continuously.

01:01More than 20 police officers, including SWAT, arrived at the location.

01:05But they were not immediately opened the gate

01:08and another caretaker tried to stop the police.

01:12It took an hour for the local authorities to enter the area.

01:17According to the police,

01:18they found the suspect sleeping in one of the barracks.

01:22Later, they saw several barrels of bullets

01:25until they were able to find the hidden gun.

01:45The two suspects were caught by the Ermita Police Station.

01:48It is known that the caretaker, who tried to stop the police,

01:51was previously imprisoned for the possession of illegal weapons.

01:55The Awol na Polis faces a complaint of violation

01:58of the Comprehensive Law on Firearms and Ammunition
