00:00The Philippine Council for Industry, Energy and Emerging Technology Research and Development or PCIEERD of the Department of Science and Technology or DOST is pushing for the use of blockchain technology when processing school documents.
00:16The agency states this move is in line with President Fernando R. Marcos Jr.'s directive of digitalizing government processes and services.
00:25DigiCert has funding that will benefit 16 school campuses like the Philippine Science High School or PCHS.
00:32With the use of DigiCert, one only needs to go to the website of PCHS and sign up to be able to request for the needed school document.
00:43It will definitely ease the burden of going to school or their parents will have to go to school just to request, file a request.
00:52And moreover, the physical need for storage, especially now with the mandate of the National Archives of the Philippines, they enjoy the government agencies to digitize.
01:03The physical demand will be lessened as well as the backup of soft copies will be easier.
