00:00It's still a fair month, but the use of electricity is weak, because from this September until the next few months,

00:06there will be additional electricity bills.

00:16The bill for electricity in Barberia was raised to more than P37,000 by Benji Netong-Agosto.

00:24His hope is that the bill will rise again like last May in Kasagsagan ng El Nino,

00:29which reached more than P43,000.

00:32The Meraco announced a 0.15 cent increase per kilowatt hour in Taasingil this September,

00:37equivalent to an additional P31 in the total bill of the average family consuming 200 kilowatt hours.

00:53If true, the Meraco rates are expected to be reduced this September because the generation charge was reduced by P15 per kilowatt hour.

01:08But it was overshadowed by an increase of P29 per kilowatt hour in the transmission charge.

01:16The main reason for the increase in the transmission charge this month is the higher ancillary service charges

01:25following the return of the operation of the reserve market on August 5.

01:33But wait, there's more.

01:34Because this September, Taasingil ng Meraco will not be expected.

01:38In October, the ERC will also approve a new fuel supply contract for the first gas plants.

01:46And recently, the ERC announced that they are allowing the cost of the fuel supply contract to be transferred to consumers.
