00:00I'm Theo, today I'm out in the streets of Manchester asking people about nostalgia foods.
00:03We want people to tell us what their one bite of food is that transports them back to their
00:07childhood. It could be a wagon wheel, it could be a cheese dunker, a baby belt, anything.
00:11We just want to know what it is. Let's go find out what you said.
00:14Yeah, I'd say a Freddo for me, like little Freddos.
00:17It's like those little smarty cupcakes.
00:21They're like, every time I see them I can taste them.
00:23I think Goldbars was the chocolate I always had in my lunchbox.
00:27Um, and every time I see them, quite rare to see them nowadays.
00:32I mean, it's gotta be like the little yogurts with the jerks on them.
00:34So I used to take them to my pack lunch at school.
00:37Read out the jerks to everyone.
00:39And it was like our Friday treat to have treacle sponge and custard.
00:42And, um, like we did this, we have this tradition like that came from the war.
00:48And like when they, like, England was like in rations and stuff.
00:51And my great granddad, like, has kind of like passed it down.
00:53And it's people used to put just like plain cream crackers and custard
00:57and let them soak so it had like the texture of pastry.
