00:07Wetherspoons will now stay in Fleetwood after scrapping plans to shut its pub in the town

00:13The Thomas Drummond in Lord Street is to remain as a Wetherspoons pub after the company decided
00:18to take it off the market six months after it was put up for sale.
00:23They say the U-turn means the pub is likely to remain open for many more years to come.
00:29Police have issued an update after a 53-year-old man from Preston was charged with attempted
00:34murder after a British Transport Police officer was stabbed.
00:39Russell Smith, 53, of Shakespeare Road in Preston, has been charged with one count of
00:44attempted murder and one count of possession of a bladed article.
00:48A spokesperson for British Transport Police added that the defendants will appear at Preston
00:53Crown Court on Monday October 7th.
00:57The officers' injuries are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.
