00:00of people's color or the language their grandmother speaks.
00:03We all have the same dreams and aspirations
00:06and want a president who invests in those,
00:09not in hate and division.
00:11She is Biden.
00:12You know, she's trying to get away from Biden.
00:14I don't know the gentleman, she says.
00:16She is Biden.
00:17The worst inflation we've ever had,
00:20a horrible economy because inflation has made it so bad.
00:24Who took out a full-page ad in the New York Times
00:28calling for the execution of five young black
00:33and Latino boys who were innocent,
00:36the Central Park Five?
00:38I think it's, I mean, honestly, I think it's a tragedy
00:42that we have someone who wants to be president
00:46who has consistently, over the course of his career,
00:50attempted to use race to divide the American people.
00:54You know, I do believe that the vast majority of us
00:56know that we have so much more in common
00:58than what separates us, and we don't want
01:00this kind of approach that is just constantly
01:02trying to divide us, and especially by race.
01:05And let's remember how Donald Trump started.
01:08He was a land, he owned land, he owned buildings,
01:15and he was investigated because he refused
01:19to rent property to black families.
01:23Let's remember, this is the same individual
01:26who took out a full-page ad in the New York Times
01:30calling for the execution of five young black
01:35and Latino boys who were innocent,
01:37the Central Park Five, took out a full-page ad
01:42calling for their execution.
01:44This is the same individual who spread birther lies
01:48about the first black president of the United States.
01:52And I think the American people want better
01:56than that, want better than this.
01:59Want someone who understands, as I do,
02:01I travel our country.
02:03We see in each other a friend,
02:06we see in each other a neighbor.
02:09We don't want a leader who is constantly
02:12trying to have Americans point their fingers at each other.
02:16I meet with people all the time who tell me,
02:20can we please just have discourse about
02:24how we're going to invest in the aspirations
02:26and the ambitions and the dreams of the American people,
02:30knowing that regardless of people's color
02:32or the language their grandmother speaks,
02:34we all have the same dreams and aspirations
02:37and want a president who invests in those,
02:40not in hate and division.
02:42Vice President Harris, thank you.
02:43Lindsey.
02:44President Trump, this is now your third time.
02:47This is the most divisive presidency
02:51in the history of our country.
02:53There's never been anything like it.
02:54They're destroying our country,
02:56and they come up with things like what she just said.
03:01Going back many, many years, when a lot of people,
03:03including Mayor Bloomberg, agreed with me
03:05on the Central Park Five, they admitted,
03:07they said, they pled guilty.
03:10And I said, well, if they pled guilty,
03:12they'd badly hurt a person, killed a person, ultimately.
03:15And if they pled guilty, then they pled, we're not guilty.
03:19But this is a person that has to stretch back
03:22years, 40, 50 years ago, because there's nothing now.
03:26I built one of the greatest economies
03:28in the history of the world,
03:30and I'm gonna build it again.
03:31It's gonna be bigger, better, and stronger.
03:34But they're destroying our economy.
03:36They have no idea what a good economy is.
03:38Their oil policies, every single policy.
03:41And remember this, she is Biden.
03:44You know, she's trying to get away from Biden.
03:46I don't know the gentleman, she says.
03:48She is Biden.
03:49The worst inflation we've ever had, a horrible economy,
03:53because inflation has made it so bad
03:57that you can't get away with that.
03:58Thank you, your time is up.
03:59I wanna respond to that, though.
04:00I wanna just respond briefly.
04:03Clearly, I am not Joe Biden,
04:06and I am certainly not Donald Trump.
04:09And what I do offer is a new generation
04:11of leadership for our country.
04:13One who believes in what is possible.
04:16One who brings a sense of optimism
04:20about what we can do,
04:21instead of always disparaging the American people.
04:25I believe in what we can do
04:27to strengthen our small businesses,
04:30which is why I have a plan.
04:32Let's talk about our plans, and let's compare the plans.
04:37I have a plan to give startup businesses
04:41$50,000 tax deduction to pursue their ambitions,
04:46their innovation, their ideas, their hard work.
04:50I have a plan, $6,000 for young families
04:53for the first year of your child's life,
04:55to help you in that most critical stage
04:58of your child's development.
04:59I have a plan that is about allowing people
05:03to be able to pursue what has been fleeting
05:06in terms of the American dream
05:07by offering help with down payment
05:10of $25,000 down payment assistance
05:13for first-time home buyers.
05:15That's the kind of conversation, I believe, David,
05:18that people really want tonight,
05:20as opposed to a conversation that is constantly
05:23about belittling and name-calling.
05:26Let's turn the page and move forward.
05:29Thank you, let's turn to policy.
05:30President Trump, we have to move on.
05:32President Trump.
05:33Let's turn to policy, please.
05:34She has a plan to defund the police.
05:37She has a plan to confiscate everybody's gun.
05:40President Trump, we do have to move on to other issues.
05:41She has a plan to not allow fracking
05:44in Pennsylvania or anywhere else.
05:46Okay, thank you, Mr. President.
05:46Her plan is until just recently.
05:48I just need to respond.
05:49Lindsey, go ahead.
05:50President Trump, President Trump.
05:51The former president has said something twice
05:52that I need to respond to.
05:53No, I'm sorry, we're gonna move on,
05:55Vice President Harris.
05:56I just need to respond one time
05:56to what he has said multiple times.
05:57President Trump, this is now your third time
05:58running for president.
05:59You have long vowed to repeal and replace
06:02the Affordable Care Act, also known as Obamacare.
06:04You have failed to accomplish that.
06:06You now say you're gonna keep Obamacare,
06:08quote, unless we can do something much better.
06:11Last month, you said, quote, we're working on it.
06:13So tonight, nine years after you first started
06:17running, do you have a plan and can you tell us
06:19what it is?
06:20Obamacare was lousy healthcare, always was.
06:23It's not very good today.
06:24And what I said, that if we come up with something
06:27and we are working on things, we're gonna do it
06:29and we're gonna replace it.
06:30But remember this, I inherited Obamacare
06:33because Democrats wouldn't change it.
06:36They wouldn't vote for it.
06:37They were unanimous.
06:38They wouldn't vote to change it.
06:40If they would have done that, we would have had
06:41a much better plan than Obamacare.
06:44But the Democrats came up, they wouldn't vote for it.
06:47I had a choice to make when I was president.
06:49Do I save it and make it as good as it can be,
06:52never gonna be great, or do I let it rot?
06:55And I felt I had an obligation, even though politically
06:58it would have been good to just let it rot
07:00and let it go away.
07:02I decided and I told my people, the top people,
07:04and they're very good people.
07:05I have a lot of good people in that administration.
07:08We read about the bad ones.
07:09We had some real bad ones too, and so do they.
07:12They have really bad ones.
07:13The difference is they don't get rid of them.
07:14But let me just explain.
07:16I had a choice to make.
07:17Do I save it and make it as good as it can be,
07:20or do I let it rot?
07:22And I saved it.
07:23I did the right thing.
07:24But it's still never going to be great,
07:27and it's too expensive for people.
07:29And what we will do is we're looking at different plans.
07:33If we can come up with a plan that's gonna cost
07:35our people, our population, less money,
07:38and be better healthcare than Obamacare,
07:41then I would absolutely do it.
07:43But until then, I'd run it as good as it can be run.
07:46So just a yes or no, you still do not have a plan.
07:49I have concepts of a plan.
07:51I'm not president right now.
07:53But if we come up with something,
07:56I would only change it if we come up with something
07:58that's better and less expensive.
08:00And there are concepts and options we have to do that,
08:04and you'll be hearing about it in the not too distant future.
08:07Vice President Harris, in 2017,
08:09you supported Bernie Sanders' proposal
08:11to do away with private insurance
08:13and create a government-run healthcare system.
08:15Two years later, you proposed a plan
08:16that included a private insurance.
