00:00Following the announcement that the Princess of Wales has completed her chemotherapy,
00:04Us Weekly is taking a look into the surprisingly normal side of Kate and William
00:08in this week's cover story. William and Kate do school drop-offs and play referee when the kids
00:13bicker. As a family, they enjoy game nights and watch movies together. When the future King and
00:18Queen of England manage to score some alone time, they turn on Netflix and order takeout.
00:24And despite their titles and tiaras, Kate still shops at the local supermarket.
00:28Royal author Christopher Anderson tells us, William and Kate are very hands-on,
00:32and they don't want anyone underfoot 24-7. Anderson says that the children often assist
00:37Kate with family meals, saying they help make pasta and homemade pizzas. That the highly
00:42organized Kate keeps track of. They make their beds every morning and help with the dishes after
00:47every meal. And gold stars are handed out accordingly. He adds that William and Kate
00:53have always shared, for lack of a better word, a goofy sense of humor. Very Monty Python. They
00:58crack up at things that are just plain silly. It's obvious from the way they interact with
01:03their children that they are passing this down to George, Charlotte, and especially Louis.
01:08Now, as they continue to adjust to a new normal in light of Kate's health,
01:12the dedicated parents are doing their best to keep things stable and familiar for the kids.
01:16Anderson tells us the Prince and Princess of Wales are remarkably down-to-earth,
01:21and that's a quality they are trying to impart to their kids.
