00:00A school bus driver arrested for uploading videos of his child passengers on TikTok was

00:06charged at a sessions court in Muar on Tuesday.

00:10The 24-year-old accused, who was seen crying in the dock, pleaded not guilty after two

00:15charges were read out to him before Judge Syani Mohamed Noor.

00:20For the first charge, the youth was accused of committing physical sexual harassment by

00:25kissing the cheek of a four-year-old girl, who's also his niece.

00:29For sexual purposes between 5 p.m. and 6 p.m., on a school bus in Simpang Renggam from April

00:35to September this year.

00:37The offense falls under Section 14A of the Sexual Offenses Against Children Act 2017,

00:45which provides for imprisonment of up to 20 years and whipping upon sentencing.

00:51For the second charge, he was accused of repeatedly observing a nine-year-old girl for sexual

00:57purposes between 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. in the same school bus at the same location this month.

01:04The offense falls under Section 15, a subsection 3 of the Sexual Offenses Against Children

01:10Act 2017, which provides imprisonment of up to 10 years, a fine of not more than 20,000

01:17ringgit or both, upon conviction.

01:20The court allowed bail at 30,000 ringgit for both charges and set the next mention on October

01:2610, along with submission of documents.
