00:10In a statement, SIS congratulated Qadamintri Basar Sanusi Noor on his second marriage but
00:15criticized him for joking about having two more quotas to fill.
00:19SIS found it disconcerting that he trivialized the issue, reducing women to trophies and
00:25undermining the emotional depth of polygamous relationships.
00:29It added that polygamy can cause emotional and financial strain on families, saying leaders
00:33should handle the matter with empathy and respect.
00:36SIS also said fairness and happiness in polygamous relationships go beyond financial capability,
00:42requiring emotional support and ensuring the well-being of all parties.
00:47Last week, Sanusi confirmed that his second marriage to a police officer was conducted
00:51properly according to customs and regulations addressing rumors of being caught for khalwat.
