The Dallas Cowboys (1-0) have started the season off on a good note beating the Cleveland Browns (0-1) 33-10.

The offense was way more balanced this game than what we have seen in the past. Last season most of the offense went through CeeDee Lamb, granted Lamb still led in receiving against the Browns Dak Prescott was very versatile giving everyone an opportunity.

Brandin Cooks scored the first touchdown of the Cowboys season. Then to add to the excitement Kavontae Turpin scored a 60 yard punt return for a touchdown, getting his first NFL touchdown. Ezekiel Elliott also had his first touchdown back with the Cowboys.

Lamb finished the night leading in receiving with five receptions for 61 yards.

Elliott finished the night with 10 carries for 40 yards.

Prescott finished the night 19/32 for 179 for one touchdown.

Dallas’s defense picked up right where they left off last season. The defensive line tore Cleveland up, sacking quarterback Deshaun Watson six times. Two came from Eric Kendricks, he had a phenomenal game for the Cowboys. He is the third player in franchise history – first since Tommy Haynes in 1987 – to record 2.0 sacks and an interception in the same game. The first to do it was Jim Jeffcoat in 1985.

Demarcus Lawrence also recorded two sacks and Micah Parsons and DeMarvion Overshown each recorded one. This was Overshowns first game for the Cowboys since his injury last year and he was all over the field for the Cowboys tonight. He finished the night with 11 total tackles, five solo tackles, one sack, one tackle for loss, two quarterback hits.

“As soon as he broke the pocket, he was mine. He thought he was gonna be able to get a throw off when he saw me but it was too late. I had him.” Overshown after being asked about his sack on Deshaun Watson.

Trevon Diggs also saw the field for the first time since his torn ACL last season during week three. He took no time to come back, having one interception on the night.

Diggs spoke on finally being back on the field, “Tears of joy. Just thankful to be back. I’ve been gone for so long. You take your love away, and just…I don’t know. I had a lot of emotions. I was just thankful to be back.”

The Cowboys will be back in Dallas tomorrow to prepare for their home opener against the Saints. Kickoff is on Sunday at noon.
