00:00A mass, procession, and celebration was held in the declaration of the patron saint of Intramuros.

00:17Today is the first official feast in Intramuros for Our Lady of the Consolation of Korea.

00:25In many ways, it is a revival of the devotion to the Virgin who slept after World War II.

00:35This day is historical for the St. Augustine Parish in Intramuros, Manila.

00:40Aside from the first time this feast was held for Our Lady of the Consolation of Korea,

00:48it is also now officially declared patron saint of Intramuros.

00:52The feast day celebration of Our Lady of the Consolation of Korea

00:58shall be celebrated every year from the 2nd Sunday of September

01:04at the Archdiocesan Shrine of Our Lady of the Consolation of Korea,

01:10St. Augustine Church, Intramuros, Manila.

01:14Throughout the weekend, which is called Dulce Septiembre or Sweet September,

01:19there will be mass and procession,

01:21accompanied by dance like the Boodle Fight outside the St. Augustine Church.

01:26This is very significant, not only in Intramuros, but throughout Manila.

01:32The St. Augustine Church is always present at tourist destinations.

01:37The feast will be a big part of the celebration.

01:41It is expected that the feast will intensify tourism in Intramuros.

01:45And for the Church itself, the devotion to Our Lady of the Consolation of Korea

01:50came to life again after World War II.

01:53During the World War II, all churches, all residences are bombed except St. Augustine.

02:04Pre-war, the devotion was strong.

02:07After war, all the residences, all the churches were destroyed.
