00:00We've heard people describe a loud bang this morning before they were abruptly woken up
00:06on their Saturday mornings at about 6 a.m. A few pictures falling off walls, some people
00:11reporting floorboards moving and a few cracks appearing, but it certainly hasn't dampened
00:16spirits. I reckon most of town is here at the very first TV and movie nostalgia festival
00:21and certainly a lot of visitors from across the Hunter End much further. It's a festival
00:25here celebrating all the good movies and TV shows we love from decades gone past. It
00:31certainly hasn't worried people. The people we've spoken to here, locals in particular,
00:35saying it's just another one and there's a bit of an eye roll, certainly concerns the
00:404.7 that was then revised to a 4.5 magnitude this morning. Certainly a timely reminder
00:46for people to be safe and vigilant around their homes, but it doesn't seem to be worrying
00:50them too much. Here's what Emergency Services Minister had to say earlier.
00:55The advice is of course, you know, you feel the shake, making sure that you stay away
01:00from any structures, try and get yourself out into an open area and, you know, don't
01:05put yourself in a position where if something is moved it could then cause damage to yourself.
01:10Homes can be replaced, buildings can be fixed, roads can be fixed, but human lives can't
01:15be replaced, so always look to protect yourself.
01:20There were reports of two and a half thousand customers being without power this morning.
01:23We understand that that's been fully restored as of midday today, but like I said, lots
01:28of people on the ground, not too worried about what's happened in the early hours of this
01:32morning.
01:33I literally woke up, my bed was shaking side to side and my windows were rattling, it was
01:37crazy.
01:38I was really confused and one of my paintings fell off the wall as well.
01:41Yeah, having a good lay in this morning, then there was a bang which woke me up and then
01:46everything just shook, everything in the bedroom and it all started shaking. Dogs went ballistic.
01:52Yeah, it was madness yet again.
01:53It was just a bit of a shaky wake up really.
01:58Just sort of woke up, heard a bit of a rumble and saw some stuff in our room just wobbling
02:03a little bit.
02:04I guess we're kind of getting a bit immune to it because we've had a few going on.
02:08Yes, a little bit immune to it, but hopefully, they tell me they want the shake rattling
02:13and rolling to stick to the dance floor for the afternoon and hopefully no more tremors
02:16here in Mussabrook.
02:21Yeah.
02:22Yeah.
02:23Yeah.
02:24Yeah.
02:25Yeah.
