00:00First of all, you have given the name of NRO 2 to the NAB's amendment to the law.
00:08On one hand, the name of NRO 2 and on the other hand, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf is benefitting from this amendment to the Tosha Khana 2 case and Al-Qadir Trust.
00:17So, on one hand, it is beneficial and on the other hand, the name of NRO 2. Why?
00:21This is a very interesting question.
00:23As far as the law is concerned, if you leave the personalities and talk only about the law,
00:31then through this law, a lot of people who were involved in corruption are being left out.
00:40And there were so many obstacles that the parliament put in the NAB's law that the NAB's law effectively becomes useless.
00:51Only the major elements of corruption can be caught.
01:01The rest of the politicians and public office holders have been thrown out of the corruption.
01:10They cannot be prosecuted because of the NAB's law.
01:16Mr. Imran Khan said that we should challenge this law because we will lose the war against corruption if the NAB's law is approved by the court.
01:34So, they tried their best. Mukhla was involved and ultimately presented himself in the case.
01:41I told them that the benefit of this law is in Al-Qadir case and Tosha Khana case.
01:54And if we accept this law, which they have done to save themselves,
02:00the benefit of this law is that the false and baseless case is also over.
02:11But Mr. Khan said that we should contest this case on our merits.
02:19We will win on our merits.
02:22But if we do not challenge this law, then I will be treacherous to the nation.
02:32I will not challenge this law because of my case.
02:36This is wrong. This is against the rules.
02:38So, I will challenge this law.
02:40Even if I win this case, it will be a loss to my own cases.
02:45This is a big thing.
02:47This is an interesting point.
02:49Because there are two perspectives on this.
02:51One perspective is that if the NAB's law is accepted, then it will be treacherous to the nation or the people.
02:58You will put an end to corruption in a way.
03:00On the other hand, the perspective is that it was made in Musharraf's time so that people can be tied up politically.
03:09They can be used as a method of coercion.
03:13What is your perspective on this?
03:20As a lawyer, I have always been in the middle ground.
03:27Since I was the president of the Supreme Court Bar Association, we have always been in the middle ground.
03:34The majority of law experts agree that the NAB's law was wrong.
03:47Because it was very extreme.
03:49You brought everything in the midst of corruption.
03:53Because of that, our business environment was completely destroyed.
03:59We could not do business.
04:01The bureaucrat said that if we make a decision, the NAB will catch us.
04:05If this decision is wrong, even if there is no corruption involved, we do not want to make a decision.
04:10In a way, the entire bureaucracy was destroyed.
04:12The machinery of the government was also destroyed.
04:14And the business community was also suffering a lot.
04:17So we thought that we should bring some amendments.
04:21We thought that we should bring some amendments.
04:25We thought that we should bring some amendments.
04:27We thought that we should bring some amendments.
04:29We thought that we should bring some amendments.
04:31We thought that we should bring some amendments.
04:33We thought that we should bring some amendments.
04:35We thought that we should bring some amendments.
04:37We thought that we should bring some amendments.
04:39We thought that we should bring some amendments.
04:41We thought that we should bring some amendments.
04:43We thought that we should bring some amendments.
04:45We thought that we should bring some amendments.
04:47We thought that we should bring some amendments.
04:49We thought that we should bring some amendments.
04:51We thought that we should bring some amendments.
04:53We thought that we should bring some amendments.
04:55We thought that we should bring some amendments.
04:57We thought that we should bring some amendments.
04:59We thought that we should bring some amendments.
05:01We thought that we should bring some amendments.
05:03We thought that we should bring some amendments.
05:05We thought that we should bring some amendments.
05:07We thought that we should bring some amendments.
05:09We thought that we should bring some amendments.
05:11We thought that we should bring some amendments.
05:13We thought that we should bring some amendments.
05:15We thought that we should bring some amendments.
05:17My extreme is I say
05:19I am a bureaucracy.
05:21I make the decisions
05:23that I feel are the correct ones.
05:25That I feel are the correct ones.
05:27But after that,
05:29It harms the government.
05:31But after that,
05:33they put me behind bars due to my behaviour.
05:35they put me behind bars due to my behaviour.
05:37I was going to stop this.
05:39However, if I correct some cases
05:41and I am a bureaucrat
05:43I made the decision
05:45If I have committed a crime with the government or with the government officials but there is corruption, then I should be punished, then I should be prosecuted.
05:54If I am able to clarify this, then these are two extremes.
06:00The first example I gave you is very clear.
06:08But the second example you gave is a very big grey area.
06:13It will be very difficult to judge who committed the crime with whom and with what intention.
06:21What next? Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaab, what will you do next?
06:26As far as the decision is concerned, the Supreme Court has made a final decision.
06:34As far as the decision is concerned, the Supreme Court has made a final decision.
06:38As far as I am concerned, as a lawyer, I don't have a problem with it.
06:45Ultimately, the Supreme Court has decided that it is the Parliament's job to make the law.
06:51The Parliament made the law.
06:53After that, the Parliament amended it.
06:56If the amendment is wrong, then the Parliament and the people should know about it.
06:59We have to listen to the Parliament.
07:01As far as the decision is concerned, the Supreme Court has made a final decision.
07:05As far as I am concerned, as a lawyer, I don't have a problem with it.
07:11And as a politician?
07:13But as a politician, I say that it is the Parliament's fault.
07:17Why did the Parliament pass a law that freed corruption?
07:23And to free corruption ultimately means to harm the nation and Pakistan.
