00:34Blaine's hand rubbed Zoe's wet head roughly with a dry towel. She'd come back to his penthouse to

00:40get cleaned up after their time together in his car. After soaking up the majority of the moisture

00:45with the towels, Blaine patted Zoe's back and said, go and dry the rest with a blow dryer.

00:52It's almost dry already. I'll go and make us something to eat first. Zoe replied. As she spoke,

01:00Zoe rose and was about to walk towards the kitchen when Blaine stopped her with a hand

01:04on her waist. She turned around and looked at him in confusion. It suddenly seemed as if the

01:10temperature in the living room had dramatically increased and Zoe's cheeks felt an inexplicable

01:16heat. At some point, Blaine's handsome face had darkened and his eyes seemed to shimmer as he

01:22returned her gaze. No, let's dry your hair first, Blaine stated firmly. Although his voice was calm,

01:30it carried a domineering tone. Zoe knew there was no point in arguing with him.

01:37So she obediently went back into the bathroom to get a hairdryer. As she was searching in the

01:42cupboard for the dryer, Zoe saw a black shadow approaching from behind her and she felt goosebumps

01:48rise on her arms. Zoe was about to turn around when she felt strong. Arms wrap around her waist

01:55and her entire body was pulled back from behind, tightly shackling her to Blaine's strong chest.

02:02Blaine, what are you doing? Zoe asked him as she struggled for balance, having been pulled up on

02:09her tiptoes. I want you. His rough voice resounded from behind her. Zoe's cheeks were burning hot

02:17and even her breathing started to become ragged. Don't be silly, didn't we? Just before she could

02:24finish what she was trying to say, Zoe suddenly received a slap on her butt from Blaine.

02:30Don't argue with me, although he hit her. Lightly with a hint of teasing, Zoe purposely complained.

02:38Blaine, why are you bullying me? You know, I feel like this kind of bullying is not enough.

05:47asked, Where is my bag? Blaine seemed to be worried that she would leave at any moment. He got up,

05:54stretched out his hand, and pulled her into his arms. Then he lowered his head and asked her in a

06:00low voice, What's wrong? My cell phone is in my bag. Anxiety was written all over Zoe's face.

06:09You mean the cell phone? Blaine grabbed her phone off the bedside table beside him

06:48Don't make a sound. Blaine raised his thick eyebrows. He didn't answer, and she took that

06:54as his acquiescence. Zoe dialed the number, took a breath, and tried to adjust her tense mood

07:01so she'd sound calm. Unexpectedly, the phone was picked up on the first ring, and before Zoe could

07:07even open her mouth, she heard her mother yelling at her. Zoe, what were you thinking? Why did you

07:16humiliate your blind date so badly? Tell me what's going on. Gloria's voice came out in an

07:23ear-piercing tone. Zoe unconsciously pulled the phone a little further away for the sake of her

07:29eardrums. As soon as her mother finished speaking, Zoe put the phone back to her ear. Mom, will you

07:36just stop and listen to me, please? All right, speak, Gloria said. I want to see what you can

07:43make up. This Roger guy was awful. First of all, he was nothing like Aunt Shelly described. He

07:51wasn't just a little older. He was like twice my age. He was rude and overly familiar. And then,

08:00and then. And then Gloria's stern voice asked from the other side.

08:06Then Zoe curled her lips, feeling a little wronged as she continued. Then he wouldn't let go of my

08:12hands because he thought they were so soft, and said that he was in a hurry to marry me

08:18so I could give him a honeymoon baby. When Zoe said this, she suddenly felt a rock-hard arm

08:25wrap around her waist and tighten. Her delicate body was then pulled back into Blaine's strong

08:31embrace. Blaine didn't say a word, but he didn't need to. His actions speak louder than words.

08:38He didn't want to hear any further mention of Zoe and other men. Blaine was staking his claim.

08:53Zoe was still on the phone with her mother when Blaine's arms wrapped around her waist positively.

09:00He greedily rubbed his face against Zoe's warm neck, smelling her unique body fragrance. He

09:06couldn't help but tighten his grip. He slightly opened his mouth and gently nibbled on her creamy

09:12shoulder with his white teeth. One nibble didn't seem to satisfy his desires, so there was a second

09:19nib and then a third. Zoe couldn't help but twitch her neck and almost laughed out loud as he nibbled

09:25so lightly. It tickled. She quickly turned her head to the side and mouthed with her lips,

09:32stop messing around. I'm hungry. He whispered right against Zoe's ear in a voice soft enough

09:39that Zoe's mother wouldn't be able to overhear. He muttered an aggrieved sentence,

09:45burying his head in Zoe's shoulder like a naughty child. He was still nibbling incessantly. Zoe

09:52rolled her eyes at him, but she didn't forget that her mother was still on the phone and angry with

09:57her. If she knew that Zoe was with Blaine, she would immediately go from angry to furious.

10:04Mom, look. Bottom line, my blind date was an obnoxious jerk, and Shelley should have known

10:10not to set us up in the first place. I'll tell you all the details when I get home.

10:16Is that okay? Oh, then who were the two men? Roger was talking about. Although Gloria's words

10:23were heated, she had actually calmed down a lot. Roger had told Shelley the two men had shown up

10:30and fought with him over Zoe. Gloria was secretly thrilled when she heard this news.

10:36She was hoping that the real reason Zoe had refused to be set up on all the blind dates

10:40she'd suggested was that she already had a man she liked. Gloria just couldn't figure out why

11:04situation. Of course, Zoe was lying. Blaine had defended her while Josie laughed hysterically

11:12at the show. As for whether she and Blaine were just friends, well, given their current positions,

11:19she didn't know what to call them. As soon as Zoe finished speaking, she felt a pair of warm hands

11:25reach under the blanket covering her chest. Zoe suppressed a gasp and turned her head to

11:30look at Blaine, only to find that his previous mellow face was now dark as night. Was he angry?

11:37Why? Zoe was worried that he would overdo his attention and she'd give herself away,

11:44so she quickly told Gloria, Mom, let's talk when I get home. I'm still busy right now,

11:51so I'm hanging up by Zoe, then quickly disconnected the call. Zoe heaved a sigh

11:57of relief when she realized that her mother hadn't seemed to notice anything unusual during their

12:02call. The two hands that were recklessly heating her body had no intention of stopping.

12:08Zoe was speechless. She turned around and glared at Blaine. Doctor, must you act like a beast?

12:17It had already been a few times, and she couldn't believe the man still wasn't tired.

12:22Blaine gripped Zoe's chin, forcefully turning her face to him and asked her with raised eyebrows,

12:31Zoe, tell me what you mean by just a friend. Zoe was a little surprised when she saw the

12:36serious expression on Blaine's face. She sighed and pouted, I can't possibly tell my mom that

13:24mother's reaction. Blaine should be the type of man a mother would be thrilled to see her daughter

13:30bring home. He was successful from a good family and attractive. Zoe really couldn't figure out why

13:36her mom didn't like Blaine. Hearing Zoe's explanation, Blaine raised his eyebrows. She

13:42thought he was going to say something in reply, but after a pause, he just said, I'm hungry.

13:49Then Blaine got up and walked out of the bedroom, watching him leave. Zoe felt a little awkward.

13:55It was clear to Zoe that Blaine was unhappy to hear that her mother didn't approve of him.

14:00He was just trying to hide his discomfort. No one liked to hear that someone didn't like them.

14:06But then again, this was Blaine. He probably didn't care too much what Zoe's mother thought

14:12of him. After all, whether her mother liked him or not didn't really matter.

14:17It wasn't as if they were talking about marriage. They were just...

14:23Well, Zoe didn't know what they were doing, actually, but certainly nothing serious or

14:29long-term. Although she couldn't deny the loneliness she felt at these thoughts.

14:34Zoe got up, put on his clothes, and left the bedroom. She wore a pair of Blaine's boxers and

14:40one of his white button-down shirts, both of which were comically large on her slender frame.

14:46Blaine couldn't help but curl his lips in a small smile when he saw her swimming in his oversized

14:51attire with her hands behind her back. Zoe walked toward him and stopped in front of him.

14:58She tugged at her long boxers and frowned.

15:01Your pants are a little too big, aren't they? They didn't fit her at all.

15:07Hmm, there's nothing we can do about it. Blaine's smile grew into a grin.

15:13Everything about me is a bit too big. Zoe's eyes widened in shock.

15:18How could he say such shameless words in such a calm and collected manner?

15:23Zoe's face immediately turned red and she turned and hurried into the kitchen

15:27while she heard Blaine laughing behind her. When he followed her into the kitchen,

15:32still chuckling, Zoe scolded him. Well, you're going.

15:37To need to go get my clothes out of your car. I can't go home like this.

15:42Not tonight, Blaine said. Although his tone was light, it was absolutely irrefutable.

23:38Suddenly, Blaine put down his fork and broke the silence. I'm full. After he finished speaking,

23:45Blaine stood up, walked out of the dining room into the study and slammed the door behind him.
