00:00The Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development, or DSUD, is also working to help the houses that were damaged
00:06due to the impact of the typhoon Enteng and Habagat.
00:09According to DSUD Undersecretary Randy Escolango,
00:12the damaged houses can receive financial assistance under the Integrated Disaster Shelter Assistance Program.
00:19Aside from higher assistance,
00:21they will also provide not only totally damaged, but also partially damaged houses.
00:26DSUD has also promised to continue distributing assistance,
00:30especially that the number of affected individuals is still increasing.
00:33In the latest data, the number of people affected by the typhoon Enteng reached 2.1 million.
00:40More than 41,000 individuals are still staying in evacuation centers.
00:44In total, they have provided more than P102 billion in humanitarian assistance.
00:50They also have P134 million in standby funds.
00:56Based on the latest information released by NDREAMC,
01:01there are 603 partially damaged houses and 48 totally damaged houses.
01:08But as of now, according to our meeting yesterday,
01:12which was led by our President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.,
01:17the assessment and validation in various places is still ongoing.
01:22That's why it's likely that it will increase.
01:24So if we need family food packs to be distributed in areas that will be affected by the incoming weather disturbances,
01:33DSWT is ready to augment the resources of the local government units.
01:38Aside from the national stockpile of the department,
01:40as I mentioned earlier, we have existing framework agreements with private retailers and distributors.
01:46So anytime there is a massive disaster, we could immediately draw down from these framework agreements.
