00:12O you who have believed! Fasting has been decreed for you, as it was decreed for those before you, that you may fear Allah.
00:39God Almighty has spoken the truth.
00:43I seek refuge with Allah from Satan, the accursed.
00:46In the name of Allah, the most Beneficent, the most Merciful.
00:49I praise Him and send blessings upon His noble Messenger.
00:54O you who have heard and are present,
01:00O you who are better than me,
01:02Peace and blessings of Allah be upon you.
01:05It is the month of Ramadan.
01:09The first thing is that this word is Ramadan.
01:15I often say Ramadan because it is necessary to read the Zabr on the Mim.
01:25Ulema say that it should be called Ramadan.
01:29The second thing is that this month is coming.
01:35God willing, we will talk about it next Thursday.
01:41This is a great opportunity.
01:45It is a training.
01:46It is a semester of self-cultivation.
01:53The Qur'an has attached it in this way.
01:56The meaning of the recitation of the Qur'an is that fasting has been imposed on you so that you may adopt righteousness and become righteous.
02:13The real purpose of fasting is to attain righteousness.
02:20If you practice this in this month,
02:24and if you continue to practice it for the next eleven months,
02:28you will become righteous.
02:31The Qur'an says that the righteous are our friends.
02:37Allah says,
02:40Our friends have no sorrow and no fear.
02:52There is no fear and no sorrow.
02:55Fear is of the future.
02:59Sorrow is of the past.
03:03The righteous become fearless of sorrow and fear.
03:10Allah makes them fearless.
03:13These people are the owners of freedom.
03:16Ramadan is a door to becoming a Waliullah.
03:19Allah says,
03:22This is my month.
03:24I will make people enter this month.
03:30Through my door.
03:32The purpose of this is that it is very important to be righteous.
03:36What is righteousness?
03:38It is a practice in Ramadan.
03:41When we fast,
03:43the time set by the Messenger of Allah from Sehri to Iftar,
03:47according to that,
03:49we intend to fast.
03:52Then we do not eat or drink anything.
03:55It is very hot.
03:58I open the door of my room.
04:00There is a refrigerator.
04:02There are cold drinks in it.
04:04But no faster will touch it.
04:09He is alone in that room.
04:11No one is watching.
04:13No one else is present.
04:15But there he feels that Allah is watching me at that time.
04:22He is watching me right now.
04:29This is the first stage of righteousness.
04:32This is righteousness.
04:34Wherever a person feels that Allah is watching him,
04:40he starts at that stage of righteousness.
04:44The Messenger of Allah said,
04:48Hunger is not the name of being thirsty.
04:50In fact, it also crushes the desires of the soul.
04:54And to stop eating and drinking is also fine.
04:58It is fasting.
04:59But with that, the other vices,
05:01lies, gossip, deceit,
05:03leave them too.
05:04And when fasting is kept,
05:06then there should be more care to avoid sin.
05:09I did not eat anything in the morning.
05:11I fasted all day.
05:13But I kept watching movies.
05:15So the purpose is dead.
05:17Because there is no purpose.
05:19If the only purpose was the worship of Allah,
05:22then countless angels were and are present with Allah.
05:27Those who are worshipping.
05:29But their worship has no wonder.
05:33Because they do not have the ability to sin.
05:36We humans have the ability to sin.
05:39And we worship by moving away from that sin.
05:43And we worship and move away from sin.
05:46So this worship turns into righteousness.
05:49That is why the Qur'an has connected fasting with righteousness.
05:54This month is such that
05:56when you can't even hide and eat,
05:59can't drink,
06:01your intentions are right,
06:03everything is fine.
06:05Then what you are seeing all the time,
06:07you are not hiding anywhere from it.
06:09Praying is good.
06:11Leaving a sin is righteousness.
06:14That is why we are getting this month.
06:18This is a training course.
06:20For the remaining 11 months.
06:22We should get used to it.
06:24That we should fast,
06:26don't lie,
06:28don't gossip,
06:30don't have bad intentions,
06:32and move the wrong thoughts away from us.
06:36So that the status of righteousness is achieved.
06:39Which is the real purpose of this fast.
06:41And what the Qur'an has stated.
06:43Hazrat Umar asked a Sahabi.
06:47He didn't know.
06:49But he was curious about what he was saying.
06:52He said, what is the meaning of righteousness?
06:55The Sahabi said,
06:57O Umar, if you are passing through a path
07:00and there are thorns in it,
07:02then how will you pass?
07:04Hazrat Umar said,
07:06I will pass by saving my clothes
07:08so that the thorns don't get in my clothes.
07:10The Sahabi said,
07:12O Umar, this is righteousness.
07:14Righteousness is not the name of doing anything.
07:16Righteousness is the name of not doing anything.
07:18Fasting is fasting.
07:20Fasting means stopping.
07:22Stopping from hunger, thirst,
07:24from food, water.
07:26Fasting.
07:28Righteousness is stopping from sins.
07:30Both have the same meaning.
07:32That is why the Qur'an,
07:34in this verse,
07:36Surah Al-Baqarah verse 183,
07:38says,
07:52This is that month.
07:54The month of Ramadan is coming.
07:56In which I and you
07:58can all get happiness.
08:00To attain it,
08:02this is our own hard work.
08:04It is our own earning.
08:06He has opened the door.
08:08He is ready to
08:10kiss you.
08:12In this month,
08:14read the Nawafil in abundance.
08:16Read the Qur'an in abundance.
08:18As much time as you get,
08:20spend it in good things.
08:22This is not a month of laziness.
08:24It is not a month of other things.
08:26Do everything well.
08:28But,
08:30try to be a good person.
08:32Have good relations with others.
08:34And,
08:36if you fast too much,
08:38send it to your neighbor's house.
08:40There is no harm.
08:42Take care of others more.
08:44Because here,
08:46everything has 70 times
08:48more rewards.
08:50This is a loot sale of good deeds.
08:52That is why,
08:54pay special attention to this.
08:56Understand my words.
08:58So, pray to Allah,
09:00that whatever I have said,
09:02may be fulfilled.
