Higher wages and improved job security are just some demands from 273 striking workers at the Marathon Petroleum refinery in Detroit.

00:10273 members work at the Marathon refinery plant in Detroit. Say they want job security and better
00:17pay. They've been negotiating for 9-10 months and contracts have stalled. They're out on strike as
00:23of this morning. Union Rep says they may extend this strike to other plants if they can't get a
00:28deal. The company says they have temporary workers in there trained and working and safe operation.
00:36Teamsters obviously says they're not so sure about the training. Eventually these tankers
00:41do get in as the workers continue to picket.
