00:00After watching this short clip, you will be able to make some of the most trending CapCut edits on TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube.
00:05And yes, you only need your phone to do this, but even if you use a laptop, you will still get the tricks.
00:10These edits include comments coming out of a box.
00:13And first, I'll show you how to create your own comments with any text you want, as well as how to edit them like this.
00:18You'll learn how to do the viral head slice edit from renowned editors, line and arrow animations inside a video,
00:23objects appearing behind a character, floating objects, and some other important edits, all in this video.
00:28So, let's start with how to make your own custom comments.
00:31These types of comments are mostly used on TikTok and are the perfect hook for stopping viewers from scrolling past your video.
00:37Go to your browser and search for TikTok Comment Generator and click on the one with this logo here.
00:43It will take you to this dashboard where you can simply enter your own text at the top, and it will appear below as a comment.
00:49You can also name the user that is commenting, and choose if they are verified or not by ticking or unticking this box here.
00:56You can also create comments in bulk, but for now, let's make them one by one.
01:02Just enter your text, enter a random user, and once you are done, use this button to download your comment.
01:08Now it's time to make them come out of the box like this amazing technique used by great editors.
01:13First, just open a new project on CapCut and use a nice background like I'm using this black grid here.
01:19Next, click on Add Overlay and choose a table PNG.
01:24Don't worry, I got all the images just by searching them up, so anyone can find them for free.
01:28Now just remove its background and place it well at the bottom until it appears like a perfect table.
01:35Now click on Overlay again, and this time choose this box image.
01:40Remove its background using the Auto Removal tool and adjust its size to the perfect one.
01:45Now just tap on it and then click on the Duplicate option.
01:49Drag the duplicated clip below the other one and make sure it's not noticeable that you have two boxes.
01:55Next, click on the second duplicated box, click on Transform, then choose the Crop option.
02:01Crop it as demonstrated here.
02:04You just need to remain with one side of it.
02:07Now place it well and let it appear as one box.
02:11Now it's time to add the comments, so click on Add Overlay, then choose one of the comments.
02:16Once it appears on the timeline, click on Remove Background and remove the background.
02:22Do the same for the other three comments too.
02:24And once you are done, adjust their sizes to make them fit the size of the box.
02:29Now click on Layers and then drag all the comments between the two boxes as you see on the screen.
02:38Now just drag the comments one by one into the box until all are clearly hidden from the viewers.
02:45Finally, click on one of the comments and we will use keyframes to bring it out.
02:49So just play for like two seconds and then add a keyframe.
02:53Move like five frames forward and now drag the comment outside the box.
02:58This is how it should look.
03:00Add keyframes to all the other comments as seen here.
03:02Just make sure each comment comes out after the previous one is already outside the box.
03:08To give them a smooth movement, click on the keyframes and then tap on this graph, then select the Ease Out option.
03:15Finally, this is the result we got.
03:20Next up is the head slice animation and it's just as easy as it looks.
03:24So open a new project on CapCut and then set your background.
03:29Click on Add Overlay and then bring in the image of your preferred character.
03:33I'm using Eamon Godsey as an example.
03:36First, let's remove its background using the Auto Removal tool and then click on it and look for the Duplicate option and duplicate your image.
03:45Drag the duplicated clip below the original one and make sure they're the same size so it just looks like one image.
03:52Now click on the top image here, then choose Transform and then Crop.
03:57Just crop it and leave a small part of the head out as demonstrated here.
04:03Now click on the second image and then using the Crop option, crop out all the parts and just remain with the upper part of the head that starts from the forehead, as seen on screen.
04:16Now place it back on the image, making sure it's as perfect as possible.
04:21Now play the clip for about 3 seconds, pause it and add a keyframe to mark the start of the head slice effect.
04:27Move 5 frames forward and then just use your finger or mouse to lift the upper part of the head upwards as you see here.
04:33This will automatically add a keyframe and this is how it looks.
04:39Also, if you want it to open sideways while the head just splits a little, here's how to do that.
04:45Just go to the second keyframe and instead of lifting the head up, just twist it a little bit to the right to make it open and here it is.
04:52To close the head back, just add a keyframe, move 5 frames forward and then close the head using your fingers.
04:59If you want to make an object come out of the head, then just click on Add Overlay, choose the image you want to come out of the head and then once it's on the timeline, click on Layers and take it behind the images using the Layers option as seen here.
05:13Now just play the clip and then wait until the head opens, add a keyframe to your image, move 5 frames forward and then bring it out using your finger or mouse.
05:22A keyframe will be added automatically to mark this.
05:26And here is the final result for this one.
05:30Now it's time for this amazing edit of objects appearing behind a character and style.
05:35This one is easy, so we will make it quick.
05:37Here is our character well placed in the center, so just click on Add Overlay and then add your images.
05:43Here are my two examples.
05:45Next, just click on Layers and then drag the two overlay images behind the character using the Layers option.
05:52Make them smaller than the character to hide them easily.
05:55Now just play the clip a little bit and then add a keyframe to your first object as seen here.
06:01Move or play the clip a bit and then using your finger or mouse, just drag the first image out, making sure it comes out from the side.
06:09As you do this, a keyframe is added automatically.
06:13To make it a smooth appearance, click on the keyframe and then from the graph, choose the Ease Out option.
06:19After the first object is completely out, it's time to bring the second one out too.
06:24So just go after the last keyframe here and add a Start keyframe for it.
06:28Play a little bit and bring it out too.
06:31A keyframe has been added, so just click on the graph and choose the Ease Out option to make it smooth.
06:37And here is the final clip.
06:42Next up is the line and arrow animation inside a video.
06:45Here are my two characters and I want to put the arrows between them.
06:48So click on Add Overlay and select your line or arrow.
06:52I got them from Canva and anybody can download them for free.
06:56So remove its background and place it between the two characters.
07:00First, let's add animation to the first character to make the clip more engaging.
07:04So click on Animations and choose the Slide Up animation.
07:08Now click on the line and then add a keyframe.
07:11Without moving, just look for Mask, click on it and then choose a horizontal mask.
07:16Rotate the mask 90 degrees and then drag it towards the start of the line as you see on the screen.
07:22Now, play the clip for about 3 seconds and then click on Mask again
07:28and drag the mask towards the end of the line, heading to the next character like this.
07:33Also, click on the second character and let's add an Enter animation to it.
07:38Make sure it only comes to the screen when the line reaches it.
07:41And finally, this is the result.
07:45Lastly, we have to make the floating effect and for this one,
07:49it doesn't require any editing as it is just an effect within CapCut.
07:53So, here are my two characters again.
07:55Just click on one of them, choose Effects, Body Effects and then search for the Play Pendulum effect.
08:02Here you can switch to video effect or object effect as well as switch the effect between the characters.
08:08And that's it for today.
