00:00I'll give you both a go at it, alright?
00:13Okay then Jonathan, can you start telling me what your situation is please and just how coming on to these Warhammer gaming sessions helps?
00:20Right, so I'm a full time carer for my wife who has various health problems.
00:26Because of that I had to give up work a few years ago.
00:31Coming down here is a release for me.
00:35It's a few hours a week where I can get into something for myself away from having to care for my wife.
00:44And it's been beneficial certainly for my mental health.
00:50I have struggled with depression and that through having to give up work.
00:57But to be here with like minded people, people who I now consider friends, it's really given us a boost mentally.
01:07Okay, and Stephen, yourself in terms of your situation, how have the sessions helped you?
01:12It's been absolutely fantastic.
01:15So basically I'm being one of them people that struggles to mingle with people.
01:20My partner needed something for her son, which is my stepson David.
01:27That's like integrating him and integrating me with like normality.
01:34So we found this place and from day one, opened the door, it was just warm and welcome.
01:42Everybody would sit down with a coffee, even a drink of pop.
01:47Just talking, see how you are.
01:50The first thing somebody would say is hello, how are you today, how has your week been?
01:56So it's been an absolute blessing.
01:59Playing the game, painting, whatever it is, even if you don't do that, it's just chatting isn't it?
02:04And it's just perfect.
02:07So much more in a gaming setting.
02:09So it's basically, like I said before, it's a safe place.
02:13Because there's a lot of people here with major issues.
02:16And it's like people are upset and they leave with a smile.
02:23Okay, and Paul, just let me know why you decided to set up the gaming sessions and just how beneficial they've been for people.
02:30Yeah, so we decided to set things up the way that we have.
02:34Where anybody can come in, use the tables, sit and paint, sit and build all their Warhammer stuff.
02:42Or there's other miniature gamings available as well.
02:48Mainly just to get people together, get people socialising.
02:52It was mainly after Covid and all the lockdowns, people not being able to get that social aspect of things.
03:03And if anybody watches this or reads this and would like to come down, what should they do?
03:08They can either just pop down.
03:11Like I say, we're open until 9 o'clock on a Tuesday and a Thursday.
03:15Most people come down between 5 and 9 o'clock on a Tuesday and a Thursday.
03:20We are open other times as well, but there might not be any people here using the space.
03:28If you want to book in for a game, the tables are free to use.
03:31We've got mats, we've got terrain, all you need to do is bring an army.
03:35If you want to learn the game, just drop us a message, give us a ring.
03:40We can get you booked in with somebody to sort of learn what the hobby's about.
03:49He didn't let you make it.
03:51That's obscene.
03:54Four hits.
03:55We are topless floor.
03:59Strength five.
04:00Crazy, eh?
