00:00Welcome to our wellness day beer. Hope you guys are well, hope you're having a great Friday.
00:06As you may or may not know, we've just received a new delivery of some fresh kava.
00:13I haven't tried this stuff before.
00:16While I was in Australia, the root was being sourced and we had a, as you know, the 9-year kava was processed.
00:28And as we usually do for the Fijian Gold, we take the Luena off the root.
00:33So with that Luena, we've blended it with another random, as you would say, market root from Fiji.
00:46I don't know what cultivar it was, I don't know what variety it was.
00:50It was some root, long story short, I'll explain later, but I haven't tried this before and I'm really upset.
00:56So, if you're having a good afternoon, it's this type.
01:02So let's see what this smells like.
01:06We call this Sable Blenna, because it's a blend of two different types of Sable.
01:12One type being the 9-year old Luena.
01:16So one part of it is 9-year old Luena and the other part is, I don't know, I think it would be about 3 to 4 years old.
01:26So, let's see how we go.
01:33See, most of these other kavas are Bulakasa, are Fijian Gold, are Platinum Luena.
01:40That all smells very, almost sweet, like cookies and cream, a bit of vanilla, that type of sweetness.
01:49This, this has almost an earthy, almost a peppery undertone.
02:01So it's almost similar to the Sable Sable Origin, but it is, it's different.
02:14It almost smells like the waka you get from the market on a Saturday afternoon.
02:20And you bring it home, you clean it up and you pound it, it smells almost fresh.
02:25It's a really nice smell.
02:28I think, I think our Fijian boys will really like this because the smell will take them back home straight away.

02:41So, we're calling this the Sable Blend.
02:43It's a mixture between the Lua, Luena, the 9-year old Lua Luena and an unknown market root that comes from Sable Sable.
02:54I'm not sure which one it is.
02:56It was brought to us by a friend of a friend.
02:59We purchased it, we processed it into this.

03:18I've been drinking it all day from about 11.30 this morning.
03:23We've been on the flight from Luena.
03:26I've been saving this, this moment for a week.
03:30I haven't had any harvest since, I think it was Saturday last week.
03:34So, I'm quite excited to be having a, to be trying a new blend.
03:42So, I'll explain all about this later on, but in the meantime, can we just get this mixed?
03:48And then after this, I'm filling that up.
03:55I'm going to mix this up and I'm going to drink this because I haven't tried it.

06:08Yeah, I can't quite put a finger on it, but hey, it's kava.
06:11It's different to the rest of them.
06:13So, it's not a sweet, nutty type of taste.
06:16It's very much the earth that you can taste.
06:20Yeah, I know I'm going to enjoy this.
06:22And I think a lot of our Fiji boys overseas, away from Fiji, will enjoy this too.
